Who we work with

We are not for everybody, on purpose

We work with UK sole traders and limited companies, from those first past the point where a spreadsheet stops being enough, through to growing SMEs turning over up to £2m or so. Enough going on that the books matter, small enough that nobody internal is doing them.

  • HMRC AML supervised
  • ICO registered
  • Xero certified advisors
  • Professional indemnity insured
  • Fixed monthly fee
Where we are strongest

Three sectors we know inside out

Trades and construction

CIS returns, subcontractor verification, materials against labour, retentions, job-level costing so you know which jobs actually made money. Van receipts photographed at the merchant, not saved in a glovebox.

Agencies and consultancies

Project profitability, work in progress, recurring retainers, and the contractor payments that come with a flexible bench. Multi-currency if you invoice overseas clients.

Ecommerce and retail

Stripe, PayPal and marketplace payouts reconciled properly rather than dumped in as lump sums. Stock, cost of goods, and VAT treatment that holds up when someone looks at it.

You will get on with us if

  • You want one predictable monthly figure, not an hourly clock running
  • You are happy working in Xero
  • You would rather hear bad news early than not at all
  • You want your accountant to have less to fix at year end
  • You are open to talking about what the numbers mean, not just filing them

We are probably wrong for you if

  • You are looking for the cheapest quote in the market
  • You need statutory accounts and tax returns — that is an accountant's job
  • You are set on staying with QuickBooks or Sage
  • You want someone on site every week
  • You are pre-revenue with no transactions yet — come back once there is something to reconcile
Next step

Twenty minutes, no pitch

Tell us where your books are right now — current, behind, or somewhere you would rather not say out loud. We will tell you what it would take to sort them and what it would cost.
